A Guide for Authors

     Manuscripts could be original articles, review articles or case report. Abstract is not required for review articles. Other patterns include Report from Scientific Meetings or Letter to editors which should be limited to 150-200 words. Letter to editors should be constructive, educational and should include few references. Editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts or letter to editors if they are not suitable for publication. Submitted manuscripts cannot be published elsewhere before.

Publication Policy
Manuscripts

     Please submit manuscript, 1 copy of manuscript and Microsoft word file of manuscript (including picture file) preferably on CD to the above address. Manuscripts can be submitted online at aseanheartj@gmail.com or thaiheart@thaiheart.org . Manuscripts must be in English language and should include the following topics: 1) title page, 2) abstract, 3) text, 4) acknowledgement, 5) references, 6) figure legends, 7) Tables, and 8) figures. Number of page should start at title page as page 1, abstract as page 2 and so on. Manuscripts should be published double-space preferable Arial font on white paper size 8.5 ? 11 inches, leaving 1 inch for all borders. Manuscripts should have appropriate subtitles for example: Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion. Tables, figures and references must be cited in numerical order. Abbreviation is allowed but should limit to no more than 5 per manuscript and initially spell out followed by abbreviation in parenthesis. Authors should try not to begin sentence with number and try to use SI unit and generic name of medication. For human studies, please indicate that the study was approved by an Ethics or institutional review committee and that the subjects gave informed consent.

Title page
     Title should be short and precise. Full name and affiliation of all authors should be stated in title page followed by details of corresponding authors including name, mailing address, telephone and fax number, e mail address. If possible, please provide short running title to be used on each page.

Abstract
     Abstract should be limit to 200 words followed by 2-4 key words. Structured abstract is encouraged. The preferred subheadings are: Background, Methods, Results and Conclusions.

Tables and Figures
     Please type table with double-space on separate page (s). Should provide additional data from what has been mentioned in text.
Figures should be printed on glossy paper with an acceptable resolution. Should provide figure number and name of first author at the back of the figures. Authors must pay for additional cost of the color figures. Figures should be in TIFF or JPEG format.

References
     Reference format must follow the pattern mentioned in the Index Medicus. Reference must be in numerical order as stated in the text. All authors must be listed if manuscript contains no more than 6 authors. If there are 7 or more authors, the first 3 authors must be listed followed by et al.

Do not cite personal communications, manuscripts in preparation or other unpublished data in the references.

     This section contains one-page description of essential patient data and findings from ECG(s). Please put arrow(s) if needed for detailed findings in the ECG(s). References are not needed. However, no more than 400 words and 3 references are allowed.

Manuscript acceptance
     Accepted manuscript cannot be published elsewhere before and will be edited according to the standard format of the journal. Before publication, the final version of the manuscript will be sent to the author for proofreading.
